Although the scales says it can track up to 380 lbs, I’m no where near that the scales crack so bad when I get up on them. I worry about how sturdy they are.

I am very pleased with the quality and features for this scale. It was very easy to setup my own tracking program. The price was also a added feature that made my decision to buy easy.

The body fat readings vary widely (5% or more)- within the space of an hour or less- so I have given up on getting any useful information there. The scale seems reasonably accurate, but again, readings vary more than is plausible in short spaces of time.

Health-O-Meter scale: I guess it’s okay, for the price. I’ve had it about three weeks, and here’s my impression so far.

    Pros:

    - It is pretty consistent. I weigh myself three or four times in a row, and the measurements are within 1.5 pounds – about a half a percent – so that’s pretty good, measurement-wise.

    - It is a good size to stand comfortably on. I don’t feel like I’m falling off the sides of it.

    - Big, clear display. Easy to read.

    Cons:

    - It powers off WAY too quickly. Don’t step off the scale and expect to be able to see the reading, because it will be gone.

    - It takes too long to start up. I know, it’s only a few seconds, but… every time? I’m used to an analog, non-power scale, so any delay is a change.

    - I don’t know about the body fat and hydration readings. Is it really possible that I’m only 38% hydrated?

    - Not sure how sturdy it is. One of my kids did something to it (I don’t know what, exactly), and now the glass over the display screen is out of place, kind of pushed in and to the side. I don’t know how it happened, so I can’t say if this is reasonable, but I think not — a scale should be tough beyond what a four-year-old is likely to do. Anyway, it IS still working.

All things considered, I can’t give this scale a hearty endorsement, but it isn’t terrible, either. Maybe in a year I’ll remember to come and update this review.
