Does Your Body Gain More Fat When Your Living In A Colder Environment?

I live in Toronto, if during the winter i dont turn on the heat in my room and the room temperature drops down to around 15Celsius (59F), does my body respond by producing more body fat? Im a fitness buff and want to maintain a low body fat %.

Your body consumes more energy when your in a colder enviorment because it takes more energy to keep your body warm.

There is such things such as genes reacting to environmental changes. Animals often do this with fur color. Humans don’t gain weight in colder weather. More the most part, your body won’t even change temps unless your sick.
If anything it will make you loose weight because your burning more energy trying to stay warm.
