Hello, I am a 13 year old male and I weigh 139 pounds. My body fat percent is 16%. How much should my body fat percent be? Is this an okay body fat percent? Also, I got this information off of an electronic scale that measures weight, body fat, and water percentage or something. Can I trust it to be accurate? Thanks :)

  1. Guinea says:

Your body fat percentatge is pretty ideal unless you are looking for a more muscular appearance. Between 10% and 18% is good for a male. Under 10% is really only for very athletic guys or those who take up body building. You are absolutely fine.

If you aren’t sure of the accuracy of your scales, then have your body fat checked professionally, or you can double check that figure by purchasing an Accu-Measure Body Fat Calliper off Ebay.
