Is losing body fat genetic or is their really a limit on how much you can lose?

I work out extremely intense in my cardio and strength training, and I stay away from fried foods and junk foods, sodas, juices, I drink lots of water, I’ve been doing all of these qualites for 8 months now. I STILL have a “tummy pooch”, “baby gut” or whatever you want to call it. Anyway, is their REALLY a limit on how much body fat your body will let you lose? Is this hereditary on how much your body fat will go down? No matter how much cardio for how long and how intense, my pooch will not go down. Frustrating.

I think that there’s a strong hereditary component as to how easily people gain or lose weight.

That said, try not to worry about it… exercise for health and if you like the way you look from it, so much the better for it. But even without it, it’s still worthwhile.
