What do you lose when you have low body fat?

Let’s say if a person had 6% body fat and weighed 140lbs and lost 10lbs, what would be lost? Body fat ? 6% = 14 lbs of fat. Lose some muscle some fat ? What comes to my mind is how boxers lose weight to change weight classes.

I believe boxers often dehydrate to loose weight before a match (not that I’d recommend it). So in that case they are losing water mostly. But loosing muscle is certainly a possibility.

    water and muscle mass
    they wouldnt loose fat

They would probably be sacrificing some muscle mass as well as fat.

generally they are losing water weight to make a different weight class and it is only for the weigh in. Usually rapid weight loss like that is almost all water weight and empty digestive tracts. It would be minimal amounts of fat or muscle.
