How can I lose body fat without losing weight?

I am 5″6 and 118 pounds. I’m happy with my weight but my body fat is too high at 23% – I also have a very large waist. I’d like to lose some of my body fat but don’t want to lose a lot of weight. Any diet/exercise ideas?

Body fat percentage getting higher when im losing weight?

I’ve lost inches off my hips. I’ve also lost weight. When I put the measurement in the Body Fat Percentage calculator though , for some reason my body fat percentage is higher than what it used to be.

Is that supposed to happen?
Or is the calculator screwed up?

For losing body fat, do I want to do higher reps/sets with light weights or lower reps/sets with greater weight? I already do a cardio routine with jogging and bicycling, but I want to add weight training also without bulking up though. What’s a good basic routine?

As long as my body has fat, will it burn the fat off before it will start burning off muscle? For example if I was to do cardio in the morning on an empty stomach? I’m trying to lose as much fat as possible but not lose muscle. Your response would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve been strength training for years and swimming in competition yet despite being in great shape my appearence does not match my physical abilities. Ok, so iv been lifting for 5 years, im in good shape and my diet is also really good (grilled chicken, oat meal, brown rice, eggs, wheat bread, water) and I have a good amount of muscle, and im not fat or anything but I want to lower my body fat so I look a little more defined, Im afraid to run more than 3 days a week because I don’t want to lose my size. Anyone have any tips (besides lifting lighter weight) to get more cut up? Thanks.

I am currently dieting and exercising. I do a combination of 20-30 mins of cardio and 15-20 of yoga and strength training about 2-3 times a week. I noticed that I am losing weight but not much body fat. Is there any supplements that can aid me in losing more body fat?

PS. anything supplements without caffeine is a plus because caffeine gets me sick.
