How much body percent fat do I have to have for my abs to really show?
I’m 17 (almost 18), 5′ 9″ and weigh 163 lbs. I have 12% body fat. How low does my body fat percent have to be for my abs to really show? I workout six times a week. I lift weights for two hours, and do cardio for 10 minutes. I workout my abs everyday. I rest one day out of the week.

Can drinking water really have an effect on body fat percent?
I weigh only 125lbs but I have a high body fat percentage.
I’m thinking this could be from sugar and soda and maybe bloating
if I started replacing soda with water and eating healthier could I lower the body fat?
I’m not trying to do cardio to burn it because I’m trying to gain muscle. Or would a little cardio help both ends?
Thanks.

What does having 9 percent body fat really mean?
I weight around 135 pounds, and lift some weights often, but my diet isn’t really that great. I don’t eat junk food at all, but I eat a lot of bacon (everyday) and other meats and products that I know are a bit high on fat. What does this say about my body?
(my body is 9 percent body fat)

What would happen if you had 0% body fat, but kept dieting and eating really healthy?
What would happen if someone who was very fit, had 0% body fat, but kept dieting, regularly eating a lot of things like vegetables, fruits, lean turkey, etc.?
Would their weight loss just stop due to no more mass to lose?

Is losing body fat genetic or is their really a limit on how much you can lose?
I work out extremely intense in my cardio and strength training, and I stay away from fried foods and junk foods, sodas, juices, I drink lots of water, I’ve been doing all of these qualites for 8 months now. I STILL have a “tummy pooch”, “baby gut” or whatever you want to call it. Anyway, is their REALLY a limit on how much body fat your body will let you lose? Is this hereditary on how much your body fat will go down? No matter how much cardio for how long and how intense, my pooch will not go down. Frustrating.

How Do You Get Really Low Body Fat?
I have a six pack already, but I want it to show more. I have a healthy diet, not that much fat, but my body fat is around 16%. What is a good way to lower my body fat? I also have an elliptical machine and a treadmill in my basement, and a multi-purpose gym. I use the gym for lifting everyday, but I don’t use the cardio machines that much? Should I be using them? AND HOW OFTEN?

Male Body Fat Burning Secrets: What Really Works
Burning off male body fat can be incredibly difficult and frustrating. Many guys try and try to lose that spare tire with little success.
So how exactly can you burn off that fat and get lean and ripped? It really doesn’t have to be that hard. The most important step is actually sorting through the many fat loss myths and determining what method will actually work for you.
Perhaps the most commonly repeated advice given to anyone looking to loose weight is, “Eat less, exercise more”. But as you might well know by now, this method simply doesn’t work for everyone.
Many people can cut calories and do aerobics for hours upon hours and still loose very little body fat. The reason? Because it’s not just the amount that you eat or exercise that counts.
In fact, what might be even more important the quantity that you eat is the composition of your meals. To put it more simply, it’s not just how much you eat, but what you eat.
The fastest and easiest way to burn fat, especially in the short term, is to cut carb intake and increase protein and fat intake. You heard me right — you could quite possibly be eating too little fat rather than too much.
Of course, there are good fats and bad fats, so you want to be sure to monitor the quality of your fat intake. Avoid trans fats as much as possible while increasing your intake of olive oil and other monounsaturated fats. Don’t necessarily avoid animal fats either, especially if you are trying to cut back on carbs.
Likewise, the type of exercise you do is more important than the amount. Running for hours on end my well not burn off much fat, especially if it leads to increased appetite and cravings for carbs.
Instead of doing hours upon hours of running or jogging, add some resistance training to your routine. Specifically, try including some weight training.
It is not necessary to do lift heavy weights, to do a huge variety of exercises, or even to complete multiple sets in order to achieve muscle growth. In fact, the most effective method of weight training might well be slow lifting, which involves doing very slow, steady reps until you reach muscle failure. This method has been shown to achieve 50% faster muscle growth while taking less than half the time of traditional weight training.
So whether you are adjusting your eating habits or your exercise routine, remember, quality is more important than quantity. By choosing the right foods and the proper exercises, you can burn off male body fat quickly and reveal a leaner, fitter, sexier you.

Product Review of Escali Bfbw200 – a Body Fat Scale That Really Works
An essential part of anyone’s diet is the knowledge of a starting place and a way to gauge your progress. Many people use a traditional weight scale in order to determine if they are adequately meeting their goals. Others use the more time honored method of looking at yourself in the mirror; if you see what you like, then you are doing just fine. For those of us that need a more ‘measured’ or logical approach, technology has joined with appliance companies to give us the body fat scale. A typical scale tells us how much we weigh, either in pounds or kilograms. A body fat scale is a modified, or enhanced, digital scale that not only tells us how much we weigh, but how much of our weight is fat. Honestly, this is the true determining factor in weight loss. Are we losing fat? Or are we just losing whatever weight we can get rid of? Now, it is great to lose weight, period. But it is even better to lose the right kind of weight. Therefore, it is important that we have the tools necessary to make our diet not only effective, but the best diet for us. There are many different body fat scales out on the market today. One of my favorite scales is the Escali BFBW200. I actually bought this scale and have tested it out for you.
There are several things that are very important in a body fat scale. First off, it must be accurate. Any kind of scale that is not accurate is not going to be of any importance to us. We need accuracy. Second, it must be consistent. Along with accuracy, we want our results to be consistent throughout its use. We don’t want it to be accurate some of the time, and then start telling us the wrong data, or only tell us the right weight 1 out of every 3 times. Third, we need a scale that gives us a few options: weight, body fat percentage, and body water percentage are some of the most important. Fourth, we need a scale that we are not going to want to hide underneath the toilet. We want something that will look good and that we will not be afraid of showing off. The Escali BFBW200 has several of these features and was adequate enough that I would recommend it. First off, it is fairly accurate when compared to other scales and also is fairly consistent. I was impressed that it not only offered fat percentage readings, but also body water composition.
I thought this was important because we can also lose a lot of water weight (which is not really going to help us in our quest for overall health benefits). So, this scale tells us what we need to know in a very easy and understandable way. It is not confusing nor does it offer too many options that we are not going to end up using. Finally, this scale looks good. There is no going around it. It does not detract from a beautifully decorated bathroom, it only enhances it. It is designed in such a way as to compliment a modern-looking style. It might not be the best for a bathroom with a ‘farm theme.’ But it certainly does well in most other settings.
